Jimmy Lile Custom Small Slip Joint — Mammoth Ivory A rare piece of American knifemaking history. This small slip joint folder was hand-built by Jimmy Lile — the legendary "Arkansas Knifesmith" who forged the iconic Rambo knives for First Blood and First Blood Part II, was inducted into the Blade Magazine Cutlery Hall of Fame, and has a Lile Lock folder on permanent display at the Smithsonian Institution. Lile passed away in 1991, making every genuine piece from his hand a closed-edition collectible — this is not a reproduction or a licensed tribute knife. This example is built with genuine mammoth ivory handle scales, prized for their density, natural polish, and one-of-a-kind color and grain found in no other material. Nickel silver dovetailed double bolsters with integral liners frame the handle — a hallmark of top-tier custom construction, giving the piece both strength and a seamless, high-end fit. The 2" satin finish blade carries a traditional nail nick, true to old-school slip joint design, with the smooth pull and solid snap Lile's folders are known for.
