- How much does knife sharpening cost in Austin?
- Pricing depends on the blade and its condition. Bring your knife to Austin Blade Co., 7600 N Lamar Blvd # A-1, or request a quote. We confirm the price after inspection, before work begins.
- How long does knife sharpening take?
- Sharpening is done while you wait, no appointment needed. Blade restoration typically takes 3–7 days, and custom work 1–4 weeks depending on the project.
- Do you restore rusted or damaged knives?
- Yes. We offer rust removal, cleaning, blade straightening, re-profiling, handle repair, and full restorations. Each project is quoted after inspection.
- Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
- No appointment needed. Walk in during shop hours: Mon–Fri 9am–6pm, Sat–Sun 9am–5pm, and sharpening is done while you wait. Bring blades in a sheath, towel or box. Restoration work gets a ticket per knife and we text or call when it is ready.
- Can you sharpen serrated, Japanese or ceramic knives?
- Serrated and single-bevel Japanese knives, yes — each is sharpened to its own geometry. Ceramic blades need diamond abrasives and are taken case by case; call first.
