Valley Forge Cutlery
Only one in the case
A piece of early American cutlery history. Valley Forge Cutlery started in Newark, New Jersey, in 1892 and was later run by Boker USA, which marked its knives with the VF-in-a-circle stamp from about 1916 to 1950. This two-blade jack carries that VF circle stamp along with an etched clip point master blade and a pen blade. The handles are green swirl celluloid with rich gold and olive tones, finished with nickel silver bolsters. The knife shows honest age and patina consistent with its years, which adds to its character. A great pickup for collectors of pre-war and wartime American slipjoints. - Brand: Valley Forge Cutlery (Newark, NJ) - Pattern: Jack - Blades: 2 (clip point and pen) - Tang stamp: VF in circle - Master blade: Etched - Handles: Green swirl celluloid - Bolsters: Nickel silver - Lock: Slipjoint (non-locking) - Era: c. 1916–1950 - Origin: USA - Condition: Pre-owned vintage, age-appropriate patina - Box: Not included
