Bowie Knives at Austin Blade Co.
The Texas knife, from Sheffield antiques to working steel.
The bowie is the one knife every Texan has an opinion about. We keep antique examples when we can find them, like the S.W. Silver Corn Hill bowie, alongside modern production from Muela and others. Blades over 5.5 inches are location-restricted for carry in Texas but legal to own and ship.
Questions we get at the counter
- Is it legal to carry a bowie knife in Texas?
- Yes, with limits. Since 2017 Texas allows carry of any blade; blades over 5.5 inches may not be carried into schools, bars, government buildings and a few other places.
