Schatt & Morgan
Only one in the case
A true piece of Titusville cutlery history. This limited-production Keystone Series swing guard lockback was made in 1993 by Schatt & Morgan in Titusville, Pennsylvania, and it carries everything collectors look for: original etch, clean tang stamps, and gorgeous Winterbottom bone handles. The swing guard is the star here. Open the blade and the guard locks into place, protecting your fingers and giving the knife that classic old-school folding hunter look. Lockup is solid with a strong snap and no blade play, and the Winterbottom bone scales are free of cracks and chips, set off by the Keystone shield. There's minor blade rub near the tip (shown in the photos). Otherwise, this is a beautiful example ready for a collection or a display case. - Maker: Schatt & Morgan, Titusville, PA - Series: Keystone Series, limited production, 1993 - Pattern: #06181L Swing Guard Lockback - Blade: 3-1/2", etched "SxM TRADE MARK" - Front tang stamp: "SxM TITUSVILLE PA" - Rear tang stamp: "Q-Steel USA '93" - Handles: Winterbottom bone (bovine), Keystone shield, no cracks or chips - Closed length: 4-1/2" - Action: Strong snap, no side-to-side play - Condition: Minor blade rub near tip; see photos
