This is a vintage Cattaraugus Cutlery Co. two-blade jack knife, made in Little Valley, New York by one of the great names of American pocketknife history. It has genuine bone handles with rich honey-to-chocolate jigging, an ornate nickel silver shield, and nickel silver bolsters. It carries a large clip master blade and a pen blade, both stamped by the maker, with the honest wear of a knife that was carried and used. Cattaraugus knives from Little Valley are prized by collectors for their quality and craftsmanship, and bone-handled examples like this one are getting harder to find.
