The KA-BAR 1277 Large Heavy Bowie is built for those who need serious strength and reliability in a hard-use blade. Featuring an extra-thick 9" clip point blade, this knife is designed to take on demanding tasks, performing like a cross between a traditional Bowie and a rugged pry tool. Constructed from durable 1085 carbon steel with a hardness of 55–57 HRC, it offers excellent toughness and resilience, making it ideal for chopping, digging, cutting, and other heavy-duty applications. The flat grind and 20° edge angle provide a solid balance of strength and cutting efficiency. At 14 1/4" overall length, the knife delivers impressive reach and power, while the black Kraton G handle ensures a secure, comfortable grip even in tough conditions. Paired with a leather/Cordura sheath, it’s ready for carry, storage, and field use right out of the box. Whether you're heading into the outdoors or adding a dependable workhorse to your collection, the KA-BAR 1277 is a tough, no-nonsense Bowie built to handle whatever you throw at it.
