A beautifully crafted trout and bird knife commissioned and sold by Orvis, and made by renowned knifemaker Ken Largin under his “KELGIN” mark—best known for his highly regarded blades, including those produced during Operation Desert Storm. This knife measures 6 5/8" overall, featuring a 3 1/8" full tang drop point blade forged from carbon steel. The blade showcases a clean satin finish, remains unsharpened, and is accented with fine filework along the thumb rest. It is crisply etched “KELGIN” on the obverse near the spine and “ORVIS” on the reverse, confirming its provenance. The brass bolster has developed a rich goldenrod patina, with light staining and minor pitting near the top front corners—consistent with sheath storage and age. The rosewood handle scales are in excellent condition, securely fastened with bright brass pins and offering a classic, refined look. A finely made, highly collectible Orvis piece from a respected maker—one that’s becoming increasingly difficult to find and a standout addition to any serious knife colle
