Spyderco Military 2 – CPM Cru-Wear Steel, Brown Canvas Micarta Handle The Military 2 is the next generation of Spyderco's legendary Military Model, a knife originally built to answer one question: what would you hand your own son if he were heading into the military? Over 25 years later, that same hard-use pedigree carries through in this CruCarta expression, pairing premium CPM Cru-Wear tool steel with classic brown canvas Micarta scales. The 4" full-flat-ground blade is precision machined from Cru-Wear, a steel prized for its rare combination of edge retention and toughness. It holds a working edge through demanding tasks without becoming brittle. The modified clip-point profile and 14mm Trademark Round Hole make deployment fast and confident with either hand, while jimping above the hole keeps your thumb secure during hard use. At the core of the handle is Spyderco's Compression Lock. Mechanically distinct from a standard linerlock and substantially stronger, with the lock bar positioned on the spine of the handle to keep fingers well clear of the blade path during closing. Full skeletonized stainless steel liners back the sanded brown canvas Micarta scales, which will naturally patina with use and handling, giving every knife its own character over time. A four-position pocket clip supports tip-up or tip-down carry on either side, and a lined lanyard hole rounds out the details.
