This is a 1989 Case 6265 SAB, the big two-blade folding hunter. It's a classic pattern that hunters and Case collectors have looked for over the years. The tang carries the 1980s lightning-S "CASE XX" stamp with a single date dot, which marks the last year of the decade's dot run. The blades are saber ground, which gives them extra strength through the spine for real field work. You get a large clip blade for general cutting and a second blade for skinning and detail work. The deep red jigged bone scales have great texture and grip, with the Case oval shield inlaid at the center and nickel silver bolsters on both ends. It's a substantial knife in the hand, and both blades show bright, clean steel. - Brand: Case XX - Pattern: 6265 SAB Folding Hunter - Year: 1989 (lightning-S stamp, one dot) - Handle: Red jigged bone ("6" = jigged bone) - Blades: 2, saber ground (SAB) - Closed length: about 5-1/4" - Bolsters: Nickel silver - Shield: Case oval - Lock: Slip joint - Made in: USA - Condition: Used - Box: No box - Sheath: No sheath
