An early Puma from Solingen, Germany. This knife has no factory control number, which places it before October 1964, when Puma began date-coding their knives. The genuine stag scales have deep, dark grooves and a warm amber tone, with the classic Puma diamond shield inlaid in brass and nickel silver bolsters on each end. The slim main blade has a long nail nick, and a smaller pen blade sits at the opposite end. The blades show honest patina and light staining from age. A nice traditional piece for a Puma collector or anyone who appreciates old German cutlery. - Brand: Puma (Solingen, Germany) - Tang stamp: PUMA GERMANY - Era: Pre-1964 (no control number) - Blades: 2 (main blade and pen blade) - Handle: Genuine stag - Shield: Brass Puma diamond shield - Bolsters: Nickel silver - Condition: Used, with patina and light staining on the blade - Box: No box
