This is a genuine vintage Union Cutlery Ka-Bar folder from the Olean, New York company that built one of America's most respected knife names. It has the iconic dog head shield set into deeply jigged bone handles with warm amber and honey tones, framed by nickel silver bolsters. The single carbon steel blade has a long pull with a serrated nail nick, and carries the honest patina of a knife that was carried and used. Union-stamped Ka-Bars with the dog head shield are a cornerstone of any serious American knife collection, and they're getting harder to find in this kind of shape. Maker: Union Cutlery Co.
