This is an original Case XX folding hunter from the golden era of American pocketknives. It has deeply jigged red bone handles with rich color and texture, and a pair of full-size carbon steel blades that show the honest patina of real use. The 6265 was Case's big two-blade workhorse, built for field dressing and camp chores. Vintage examples with true red bone are getting harder to find every year. It's a must for any serious Case collector, or anyone who wants a piece of American cutlery history. Pattern: 6265 SAB large two-blade folding hunter. Tang stamp: CASE XX (1940–1964). Handle: genuine jigged red bone with oval CASE shield. Blades: saber-ground clip and skinner, carbon steel. Bolsters: nickel silver with lanyard hole. Liners: brass. Closed length: 5¼". Condition: vintage used, with patina and light wear on the blades consistent with age.
