The Black 5000MCD67 is built around an ultra-premium MC66 (ZDP-189) micro-carbide powder steel core, ice-hardened to an impressive 66 Rockwell for scalpel-like sharpness and outstanding edge retention. The core is protected by 132 layers of flower Damascus with a katana edge, hand-honed in Seki, Japan using the 3-step Honbazuke method. The D-shaped handle is cut from Bigleaf maple burl dyed black ash, so every knife is one of a kind. A showpiece that cuts like nothing else. Hand wash only. New in box with lifetime warranty.
