Spyderco Chaparral SLIPIT – Birdseye Maple, CTS XHP The Chaparral is Spyderco's benchmark "gentleman's folder," and this SLIPIT edition trades the standard back lock for a non-locking slipjoint mechanism, smooth, reliable, and legally friendly in jurisdictions that restrict locking blades, without sacrificing an ounce of refinement. Genuine birdseye maple scales give every knife its own one-of-a-kind grain pattern, so no two are exactly alike, a true statement piece as much as a working tool. The 2.79" leaf-shaped blade is ground from premium CTS XHP powder-metallurgy steel, prized for its edge retention and corrosion resistance, with a full-flat grind and a remarkably thin spine that makes it one of the best slicers in Spyderco's lineup. The fully accessible Trademark Round Hole delivers fast one-hand opening, a textured index-finger choil and thumb ramp lock in secure control, and a full-length stainless steel backspacer supports the notched-joint mechanism for a confident "stay-open" feel. A reversible tip-up wire clip rounds it out for deep, comfortable carry on either side.
