Spyderco Military 2 Compression Lock, Cobalt Blue G10, CPM SPY27 The Military 2 is Spyderco's modernized take on one of the most iconic folders in the industry, originally designed by Sal Glesser as the go-to blade for forward-deployed military personnel, now upgraded with the brand's toughest lock and steel. Instead of a traditional liner lock, the full-flat ground blade is backed by Spyderco's Compression Lock, delivering greater strength and safer one-handed operation, anchored by enlarged skeletonized stainless steel liners. The steel starts from a VG-10 base and is enhanced with added carbon, molybdenum, vanadium, plus niobium and nitrogen. Processed through particle metallurgy for a uniform, high-performance microstructure with excellent edge retention and toughness. Finished in Spyderco's signature peel-ply-textured Cobalt Blue G10, this one stands out from the usual black-scale crowd while keeping the slim, open-backed profile the Military line is known for.
