Spyderco Native Chief, Brown Canvas Micarta, CPM Cru-Wear (SC244MPCW) Part of Spyderco's beloved "CruCarta" lineup, the pairing of Cru-Wear steel with Micarta handles that collectors chase across the whole catalog, the Native Chief takes that formula and stretches it into an extended version of the popular Native 5. Same DNA, same proven ergonomics, just more knife: more blade length, more presence, more capability for demanding tasks. The blade is precision machined from CPM Cru-Wear tool steel, prized for pairing exceptional edge retention with real toughness, a steel built to take a beating and keep cutting. It's full-flat ground and satin finished, with a fully accessible round thumb hole and a completely ambidextrous, symmetrical design. The handle is where this one really shows its old-school character: smooth brown canvas Micarta scales, a compressed layered composite that's impervious to water and only gets better-looking with age and use. Under the scales, a high-strength back lock mechanism and stainless steel backspacer keep everything rock solid, and four sets of threaded inserts make the pocket clip fully configurable to however you carry.
