Spyderco Roadie – Gray Plain Edge The Roadie is a highly evolved penknife, more practical and user-friendly than its historical predecessors, a modern non-locking pocketknife designed to be as socially considerate as it is genuinely useful. Its signature feature, the "Double Dent," is a pair of symmetrical dimples in the blade that provide a solid, fingernail-free two-handed opening. A wide, full-flat-ground sheepfoot blade delivers scalpel-sharp edge geometry, while a subtle forefinger choil near the handle junction gives excellent edge control and helps prevent unintentional closing. Both the choil and thumb ramp feature jimping for a secure, non-slip grip. Unlike a traditional slipjoint, the Roadie's blade is held open by an improved notched-joint mechanism, with the spring forming the handle's full-length back strap for real structural strength. The contoured Gray FRN scales are injection-molded for comfort and finished with a recessed Spyderco "bug" logo on both sides.
