Spyderco Roadie – Orange FRN, Plain Edge Originally conceived to meet proposed TSA guidelines for air travel, the Roadie takes the classic penknife and rebuilds it for the modern EDC crowd. It's a friendly, non-locking slipjoint that's easy to carry anywhere and easy to put to work, from opening mail to breaking down boxes. The sheepfoot blade is ground from Böhler N690Co stainless steel with a full-flat grind, giving it a scalpel-sharp edge geometry along with excellent corrosion resistance and edge retention. Instead of a traditional nail nick, the Roadie uses Spyderco's signature "Double Dent" dimples for an easy, fingernail-free pinch opening, smooth and fast every time. An index-finger choil with jimping gives you real control over the edge and doubles as a safety stop to help prevent accidental closure, while a jimped thumb ramp on the spine adds secure, non-slip purchase. The bright orange fiberglass-reinforced nylon scales are contoured for comfort and stamped with a recessed Spyderco bug logo on both sides, easy to spot if it slips out of a pocket.
