Case XX
Only one in the case
Here's one most Case collectors don't run across every day: a Case XX folding hunter made in Solingen, Germany. Around 1990, while Jim Parker owned Case, the company had a run of CASE-marked patterns produced in Solingen, and these German-made pieces have become an interesting side branch of Case history. This big two-blade folder pairs a long clip point main blade with a full-length saw blade, making it a true outdoorsman's tool for dressing game or clearing brush at camp. The blades are 440C stainless and still show a bright, clean polish. Handles are deep-jigged amber with the classic CASE XX shield and polished bolsters. The tang is crisply stamped DE162500 L / 440C GERMANY. - Maker: Case XX (made in Solingen, Germany) - Era: circa 1990 - Blades: Clip point main blade and folding saw blade - Steel: 440C stainless - Handles: Amber jigged with CASE XX shield - Tang stamp: DE162500 L / 440C GERMANY - Condition: Vintage, pre-owned, bright blades - One of a kind, as pictured
