A classic American-made two-blade pen knife from Western Cutlery, the Colorado maker founded in Boulder in 1911. This 292 pattern carries the "WESTERN U.S.A." tang stamp and wears handsome two-tone amber and dark brown jigged Delrin scales that give it the look of old-time jigged bone. Both blades are carbon steel and show honest use: light scratching, patina and some minor pitting, with the pattern number "292" stamped on the pile side of the small blade. A solid, honest vintage Western that's ready to carry or add to a collection.
